C W Johnson Limited is an independent, family-run practice of chartered building surveyors and architectural designers. The practice is a Regulated Firm of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and provides a range of building surveying, design and consultancy services to residential and commercial clients across Norfolk and Suffolk.

The company was incorporated on 25 September 2018 (Company No. 11587075). Our registered office is at 2 Station Road, Brundall, Norwich, Norfolk, NR13 5LA, with a second operating address at 11 Hunters Close, Blofield, Norwich, NR13 4LS.

Chris qualified with a first class honours degree in Building Surveying from Anglia Ruskin University and became a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2010. He has spent the majority of his life in Norfolk and has broad experience across the property sectors.

He provides building surveys, architectural design and specific building consultancy services including party wall assessment, defect diagnosis and contract administration. Chris takes a personal approach with all clients — every instruction is handled by him from initial enquiry to final report.

How we work

All our work is delivered in accordance with the RICS Global Professional and Ethical Standards. We maintain professional indemnity insurance, follow the RICS Rules of Conduct for Firms, and are held to the higher standards on staff training, complaints handling and security of clients' money that come with being a Regulated Firm.

We work directly with private homeowners, landlords, tenants, buy-to-let investors, developers, commercial occupiers and insurers. Architects and other professionals also commission us to support planning applications and other specialist activities.

The local context

Brundall sits on the River Yare, a few miles east of Norwich. We know the local building stock — from flint and pantile cottages and Broads-adjacent properties, to Norwich's Victorian terraces, post-war stock, modern infill and the large agricultural estates that dot both counties. That local knowledge informs every survey, every defect diagnosis and every design.
