A Professional Consultants Certificate as an alternative to a new build warranty — no deposit bond, membership fee or claims history required. Six years' cover (per UK Finance Lenders), extendable to ten. We also act as site inspectors for ABC+ 10- and 12-year warranties.

Chris qualified with a first class honours degree in Building Surveying from Anglia Ruskin University and became a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2010. He has spent the majority of his life in Norfolk and works across the property sectors — providing building surveys, architectural design and specific building consultancy services including party wall, defect diagnosis and contract administration.

C W Johnson Limited is an independent, family-run practice regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Every instruction is taken personally by Chris from initial enquiry to final report.

A Homebuyer Report is a more concise overview, suitable for conventional houses, flats and bungalows in reasonable condition built from standard materials. We're happy to advise which is appropriate for the property you're buying.

Yes — this is an area we have specific experience with. Spray foam insulation can restrict ventilation, trap moisture, conceal defects and increase the risk of timber decay. We assess its impact on structural integrity and mortgageability and provide written reports suitable for property owners, lenders and legal proceedings.
