Karrek is the Cornish word for rock. Karrek Accountants Limited was incorporated in May 2006 and has worked from Newquay ever since — advising individuals, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies across Cornwall and the wider UK.

We're a chartered accountancy practice based at 9 Hilgrove Road in Newquay. Our work covers the year-round needs of small and owner-managed businesses — final-year accounts, taxation, VAT, payroll, capital gains, management accounts and company formation — alongside personal tax for individuals.
The model is the relationship, not just the return. We communicate throughout the financial year so we can advise on current matters and identify opportunities that affect tax and business position before they're decisions you have to react to.
Karrek operates under a strict code of ethical and professional conduct. The Chartered Accountants in the practice are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Courtney joined Karrek as an apprentice in September 2013, completed his AAT Level 4 in 2016 and qualified as an ICAEW chartered accountant in 2022 — his entire career has been with the firm. He focuses on day-to-day client relationships and building the cash-flow side of clients' businesses to enable smooth running and development.
