Most pottery classes are taster sessions. Ours are courses — six weeks, the same group, real progression. You leave able to do things you couldn't do before.

Six-week introduction. Wheel-throwing fundamentals, hand-building, glazing and kiln firing. You leave with pieces you have made and fired.

The studio

Norwich Pottery Studio is a working studio in Sprowston with proper wheels, two kilns, and enough space for small classes to learn without queuing.
Six-week courses run year-round, evenings and weekends. Tools, materials, glazes and firing all included — you bring yourself.
I'd done a few taster sessions elsewhere — this is the first place I actually learned. Six weeks, same group, real teaching.
