The barn matters.

Seventeenth-century barns on a working farm, restored carefully. Exposed beams, lime-washed walls, neutral linens, courtyard at the centre, gardens out the back, kingfishers on the brook.

About the barn

17th-century, restored carefully.

Kingfisher Barn is a working farm restoration project that's been running since the early 1990s. Most rooms still have the original beams — patched, preserved, never replaced.

"The river runs past the bottom of the garden. The kingfishers come most mornings."

Companies House registration 02689174, active since 1992. Four-star B&B rating since restoration. The breakfast room is the old hayloft; the cottages are converted stables and the dairy.
